WHO WE ARE
Jersey Gloss is an independently operated New Jersey car-care inquiry and matching service. It does not perform car-care work or own the participating businesses. Contact the owner at hello@jerseygloss.com.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Customer requests include name, email, optional or requested phone number, ZIP, service, vehicle category, condition, service preferences, optional budget and notes, consent choices, and a limited campaign attribution record. We do not request a VIN, exact address, payment data, or photos. Partner applications include business and contact details, capabilities and coverage. Contact messages include your email address, topic and message.
Connection information, including your IP address, is processed to serve the site and limit abuse. Owner and partner accounts also use login and session information to control access.
HOW INFORMATION IS USED AND SHARED
We are building our local network. If no business is eligible, your inquiry is saved for owner review only if you choose that option. A match is not guaranteed. With your permission, request details may be shared with up to two approved participating businesses that match your service, area, mobile/shop preference and current availability. Removing a business from a request does not increase that sharing limit. The owner or those businesses may contact you about the inquiry using your preferred method.
We also use information to answer messages, review partner applications, operate accounts and handle privacy requests. Marketing permission is separate, optional and unchecked by default. No marketing campaign or SMS messaging is currently enabled.
STORAGE, PROVIDERS AND COOKIES
DigitalOcean hosts the website and its database of inquiries, business records, permissions, activity history and notifications. Zoho Mail handles the business inbox. Resend handles automated request and account emails when sending is enabled. These services process the information needed for hosting or email delivery, including recipient addresses and message content for email.
Essential cookies support owner and partner sign-in. Customer requests do not require an account. We keep limited campaign labels and the public entry page in this browser tab, then store them with a saved request to understand how people find the service. This campaign record excludes search terms, full URLs, advertising click identifiers and contact details. Google Ads measurement and advertising tags are currently disabled. Fonts and photos are served from this website.
THE AUTOMATED GLOSS GUIDE
Gloss Guide is a rules-based automated guide. It sends your current message and limited ZIP, service and mobile/shop preferences to this website to answer questions and check coverage. The conversation stays in page memory, is not saved as a transcript, and is not sent to an external AI provider. Reload the page or use Clear conversation to remove it. Submit contact details through the request or contact form, not chat.
YOUR CHOICES
Use the contact form or email hello@jerseygloss.com to request access, correction, deletion, or to withdraw permission for future service contact or marketing. The owner handles these requests manually and may need to verify your identity before providing access to or changing personal records. You do not need to create an account. Withdrawal cannot recall information already received by a business; tell the owner if your request also concerns information shared with a provider.
RETENTION AND SAFEGUARDS
Saved requests do not have an automatic expiry date. The owner handles deletion requests manually. Copies in backups or email services may remain until separately removed or replaced. Deleting a website record does not automatically remove those copies or information already received by a participating business.
Account access is restricted, and participating businesses can access only inquiries assigned to them. No website or storage system can guarantee complete security.
